This is the calm version of the job. You have a working key. The spare is cloned from it, which skips the most expensive step in key making. Booking online means the time is held and you do not have to call anyone.

Push-to-start fobs are made and programmed on the spot. Bladed keys are cut to your vehicle’s specification and fitted within a few days. Fill in the vehicle and pick a window — you will see the price range for your key type before you submit.

Why book a spare now

A spare made from a working key is the cheapest car key you will ever buy. The same key, originated after you lose the last one, costs substantially more — and for bladed keys an all-keys-lost origin is not currently offered at all, so the spare may be your only path that avoids the dealer.

If you only have one key right now, the spare is not a luxury. It is insurance against the all-keys-lost rate and a tow.

What happens after you book

The booking comes to me directly. You receive a confirmation with the time window, the key-type price range, and what to have ready: the working key, the vehicle, and proof of ownership.

I arrive in the window. The key is cloned, cut, and tested against your vehicle. You pay the quoted range for your key type — nothing is added on site.

Proof of ownership

Before any key is cut or programmed, the registration or title in your name and a matching photo ID are checked. This is the reason a key made through this business cannot be used to steal a car. It is stated as a feature rather than a hurdle — it keeps every vehicle safe, and it deters the kind of request that no honest locksmith should take.

Do I have to be with the car?
Yes. The working key and the vehicle both need to be present so the spare can be cloned and tested. If the car is at a different address, note it in the booking.
Which key type do I have?
Use the year / make / model lookup at the top of the page to find your key type and its status. The booking form is pre-filled with your selection so the price range is accurate.
Can I change the time?
Yes. Reply to the confirmation or call the number on it. Bookings can be moved without a fee up to the morning of the appointment.
